Dr. Leisl Obrecht, Chief of Staff of General Hospital, has recently spoken with media outlets to announce plans for the installation of new internal and external doors throughout the hospital.
"We have contracted with Dannon, and installation will be begin this fall. Available with vision lights and automatic operation, we have been assured that Dannon doors are the perfect solution for main entrances to hospitals and medical office buildings. Doors and windows can be constructed to meet acoustical STC ratings for facilities located in high noise locations. Additionally, blast and bullet resistant construction can also be added for locations where safety and security is a concern. Understand, we are more than aware of the unsettling mob presence in our shared city of Port Charles! And there should be no more worries about effortless eavesdropping. After a string of overheard confessions, exposed scandalous liasons, and stolen family recipes it has became evident that a closed door meant absolutely nothing! By winter, General Hospital will be safe from unwanted attention to all of your private discussions held on the roof, the lobby, the restroom, and the cafeteria.
Dr. Obrecht was also asked about security procedures surrounding the ease for entry to the hospital roof, an area considered unsafe and once thought to be sanctioned off for authorized personnel only. When pressed about retrofitting the roof so that people can't just tumble over the side the way Ms. Heather Webber did a year ago, Dr. Obrecht stated, 'One problem at a time. I'm not a damn miracle worker. Now unless you are bleeding or have a life-threatening disease, get out of my hospital before I release the hounds."
